Global Tobacco Surveillance System Data

Global Tobacco Surveillance System Data The Global Tobacco Surveillance System (GTSS) is a Web-based data application that houses and displays data from four tobacco-related surveys conducted around the world. The purpose of GTSS is to enhance countries’ capacity to monitor tobacco use, guide national tobacco prevention, and control programs, and facilitate comparison of tobacco-related data at the national, regional, and global levels.


MPOWER The MPOWER measures, introduced by the World Health Organization, in accordance with the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control guidelines, are measures and guides intended to assist in the country-level implementation of effective interventions to reduce tobacco use.

National Cancer Institute Tobacco Control Monograph Series

National Cancer Institute The National Cancer Institute established the Tobacco Control Monograph series in 1991 to provide ongoing and timely information about emerging public health issues in smoking and tobacco use control. Links to Monographs 1-20 can be found here.
